Ten years ago, Wall Street Journal reporter, David Bird, went missing after leaving his home for a walk. His family was suddenly thrust into the unimaginable world of having a missing loved one. Sadly, fourteen months later David Bird was found deceased half a mile from their home. During that time, David’s wife, Nancy met singer/songwriter Jannel Rap whose sister, Gina Bos, was also missing.
Now, after years of healing and advocating, Nancy Bird is giving back to the community of the missing and their families by joining Jannel Rap and others to celebrate the inauguration of the first Missing Persons Day in Nebraska. Nancy will be driving to Lincoln, Nebraska to raise awareness by highlighting missing persons in each state she travels through. She’ll be accompanied by singer/songwriter, Kirk Hathaway providing entertainment at various locations along the way.
Nancy and Kirk are happy to meet up with anyone along the route and do Facebook Live events during our journey.
