Circumstances of Disappearance: |
Unknown. His photo is shown age-progressed. On October 10, 1988, Spring asked to be dropped off at the intersection of Whitewater and Interstate 10 in Riverside, California to spend a few days hiking. He planned to tackle the northside of Mount San Jacinto, and said he would hitchike back home or call his family for a ride. There was a possible sighting of him between noon and 1:00 p.m. the day of his disappearance at the base of the mountains, but he has not been seen since. An extensive search of the area showed no sign of him. He has never been heard from again. Randy was trained for survival when he was in the United States Army. He worked for the California Department of Forestry at the time of his disappearance and was also a volunteer firefighter with the Bostonia, California Fire Department. His case remains unsolved. |
