Circumstances of Disappearance: |
Salena was reported missing by her husband, Tyrone Tackett, on January 30, 2003. They lived in the 100 block of Secretariat Place in Hendersonville, Tennessee at the time. They had been married only a week prior to her disappearance. Tyrone said he fell asleep with their small child in the evening and when he woke up later that night, his wife was missing, along with a large sum of money. Salena has never been seen or heard from again. Neighbors of the Tackett family say Tyrone and Salena had a troubled relationship, but police have not been able to prove that she left him of her own accord. After her disappearance two anonymous letters were sent to investigators insinuating that the author may have information on Salena's disappearance and that foul play may be involved in her case. The individual did not contact authorities again and has never been identified. Salena's family says she was afraid for her life in the days prior to her disappearance. She did not tell them why. Tyrone Tackett was arrested in July 2011 after being indicted by a grand jury on charges of solicitation to commit murder of his wife. Her whereabouts remains unknown. |
