Circumstances of Disappearance:
Unknown.  Yashima's photo is shown age-progressed to 6 years. She was last seen on July 2, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. She was in foster care at the time she disappeared.  Her biological mother, Duana Byrd, had supervised visitation, and on the afternoon of July 2nd, during a supervised visitation in the vicinity of 25th and San Pedro Streets, Byrd took Yashima and fled.  Authorities believe she took the child directly to Los Angeles International Airport.  Yashima’s whereabouts are unknown and her case remains unsolved.
