Circumstances:

Archer had been cutting firewood with his brother in Brooklyn, Washington on the morning of April 1, 1986. He left to head home; approximately 10 minutes later his brother found his truck on the side of the logging road, the door open, and the keys in the ignition. An extensive search of the area surrounding the truck turned up no sign of him.
