Nash was last seen by his father, at home on May 20, 1999. On May 21, 1999 Nash called his father from the Danbury, Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. On June 3, 1999, Nash's 1994 Dodge Ram Van was recovered and towed by Salt Lake City Utah Sheriff’s Department as an abandoned motor vehicle. The vehicle was impounded. Nash's parents received notification of the van's recovery on June 6, 1999 at which time a missing person report was filed.
