Identifying Characteristics:
Swanson wears black wire-framed glasses. He has pierced ears and a small scar above his left eye. He is legally blind in his left eye.
Clothing/Jewelry:
Brandon was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt under a blue striped Polo sweatshirt, a black hooded zip-up jacket with an emblem on the back, a white flat-billed Minnesota Twins baseball cap, white sneakers, a heavy sterling silver necklace and one stud earring in each ear.
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Brandon was last seen in Canby, Minnesota on May 14, 2008, visiting friends. On his way home his car became stuck in a ditch. Brandon called his parents asking for help with his car. His parents left home to provide assistance and kept in phone contact with Brandon, but were unable to locate him and contact was abpruptly disconnected by Brandon. On the afternoon of May 14, 2008 Brandon's car was located in the ditch on the Lincoln Lyon Road near Taunton, Minnesota. There was no trace of Swanson and he has never been heard from again. His case remains unsolved. In 2008, Brandon's Law, named for Swanson, was passed and required Minnesota police to being an immediate search for missing adults under 21, as well as older adults who are missing under suspicious circumstances.
