Circumstances:

Vendrick, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, came to California on February 15, 2008, to meet an investment partner, Gary Shawkey.  He has never been seen again.  His personal belongings were found in his hotel room. In February of 2009, Shawkey was charged with Vendrick's murder. His remains have never been recovered.
